Presentation Title:

Implant rehabilitation of extensive maxillary bone loss secondary to chronic odontogenic sinusitis: A multidisciplinary staged approach

Abstract

This case report describes staged implant rehabilitation in a patient with severe posterior maxillary bone loss caused by chronic odontogenic sinusitis. Initial management included incision, drainage, and pharmacologic therapy to control infection. Reconstruction was performed using an autogenous ramal bone block with a press-fit fixation technique. After a five-month healing period, implants were placed, followed by final prosthetic restoration after three months of osseointegration. This case demonstrates that predictable functional outcomes can be achieved through a structured, multidisciplinary approach integrating sinus management and press-fit bone grafting, even in complex cases with significant bone deficiency.
