Title: Maxillofacial Reconstruction in patients with limited interincisal opening

Abstract

Maxillofacial defects can occur for various reasons to include trauma, cancer, infection, and congenital defects. Surgical reconstruction is not always feasible and these defects can be debilitating for a patients quality of life. Furthermore, surgical attempts at reconstruction as well as radiation may create limited interincisal opening, which in turn makes the fabrication of a prosthesis a significant challenge. This presentation will discuss two different maxillofacial reconstructions involving limited opening and the challenges associated with these cases.
